ROBERT J. FRULLA died on November 28, 2010.  Beloved husband of Joyce E. Frulla for 55 years, loving father of Susan M. LaForce, Nancy J. Gilmore (Steve) and Robert J. Frulla Jr. (JaneAnne). grandfather of Andrew LaForce (Jodi), Michelle LaForce, Mitch Gilmore, Trent Gilmore, Robert Frulla III, Beau Frulla and Caroline Frulla.   Born November 9, 1930 in Pawlet, Vermont, the youngest of 12 from Italian immigrant parents.  After graduating high school from Warrensburg Central in New York, he joined the Air Force in January of 1951 and served 29 months in the Korean conflict.   Upon returning he attended George Washington University on a football scholarship and was a two way starter on the 1957 Sun Bowl Champion Team.  He was captain his senior year and won many awards for his outstanding play as a lineman including election into the GW Hall of Fame.  Upon graduating from GW he coached football for several years until going to work for Transway Corporation and eventually becoming President of Freight Forwarders Institute of America until retirement.  Bob was a fun loving man who was a fierce competitor both on the football field and the golf course.  A gathering of family and friends will be held at Demaine Funeral Home, 5308 Backlick Road, Springfield, Virginia on Wednesday from 7 to 9 p.m., where services will be held on Thursday at 11 a.m.  In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to George Washington University's Colonial Athletic Fund https:// my.gwu.edu/mod/onlinegiving/index.cfm (select Athletics then Colonial Athletic Fund).
