(Randy) McGraw passed away on December 7, 2016 at The Florida Hospital -Waterman, Tavares,
Florida. He died from complication from several medical issues including head trauma
and internal bleeding.
At Wakefield, Randy was a two sport star -
basketball and baseball. He was liked by all who knew him.
After high school Randy signed with the Philadelphia Phillies professional
baseball team. He was with the Phillies organization for 4 years. He married
Brenda Anderson, Wakefield Class of 1961 and moved to Florida. He and Brenda had two
children: Robin and Randy, Junior. After a few years they divorced. After a
stint with the U S Army with service overseas; Randy returned to Florida.
In 1976, Randy married Carol and had a daughter, Debra, while living in
Tavares, Florida. He remained in Tavares most of his adult life.
Randy, Carol, Debbie, and her two sons joined the Party in Paradise to renew acquaintances
in Sarasota, his first time with the informal reunion group.
His wife Carol passed away a few years ago from cancer. His son, Randy,
Jr. passed away in May 2016 in Bristol, Virginia.
Randy is survived by his daughter, Robin (from Brenda) and daughter Debbie
(from Carol). He has multiple grand children by the three siblings. They
continue to reside in their hometown cities. Randy will be cremated and buried in a
National Cemetery close to where Debbie resides.
