McglaT2008.jpg (25357 bytes)Thomas Edward McGlathery on Tuesday, October 14, 2008, of Arlington, Virginia.  Beloved husband of Louise McGlathery; loving father of Christine Wells of Dumfries, Virginia, Michelle Staton (Joe) of Stafford, Virginia, Melissa Cohen of Las Vegas, Nevada, and Angela McGlathery of Arlington, Virginia; son of the late Joseph and Dorothy McGlathery.  Also survived by six grandchildren and a host of friends.  Friends may call at the Murphy Funeral Home of Arlington, 4510 Wilson Boulevard, Arlington, Virginia, on Sunday, October 19 from 4 to 7 p.m.  Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Monday, October 20, 10 a.m. at The Cathedral of St. Thomas More, 3901 Cathedral Land, Arlington, Virginia 22203.   Interment Columbia Gardens Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in his name to The Cathedral of St. Thomas More.

I spent two years in the army in Germany, and upon my return I became a professional Firefighter for Arlington County, and presently hold the rank of Lieutenant.  I am also the owner and President of Approved Fire Protection. Inc., located in North Arlington.  I am married to Sharron, a secretary, and am the father of three daughters: Christine -16, Michelle - 13. and Melissa - age 10.
