We received this letter from Don's brother Dennis Kraft on April 3, 2013:

Don Kraft died December 6, 2012 in Littleton, Colorado.  Don was born February 26, 1942 in Washington D.C. and was raised in Arlington, Virginia where he lived until 2003 when he moved with his first wife, Joyce, to Vancouver, Washington.

Don only attended Wakefield his senior year.  After graduating from Wakefield High School in 1960, Don worked for the federal government holding a number of positions for agencies such as the EPA, NSA and the Treasury Department.  Don retired in 1994 and eventually moved to Littleton to be near family.

The last three years of his life he fought two types of cancer, finally succumbing late last year.

Don is survived by his wife and three children.

In a later note on April 6 Dennis wrote:

My Mom and Dad moved to their Park Drive residence in 1940 when the house was brand new.  Don attended St Thomas More and then went to Gonzaga HS in DC for his first three years of HS.  He transferred to Wakefield for his Senior year for academic reasons – if he were available he could explain the situation better than I can.

My mom and Dad stayed on Park Drive until after all the kids were gone and then moved to the Chatham (4500 Arlington Blvd.) in the late 70’s.  Don and his wife ended up buying the house from them and he did a lot of much needed work on it – he was always a pretty handy guy and a licensed electrician later on.  He ended up selling it about after living there for about 5 years or so – the RE market was booming back then.
