Anna May Grant Everett, “Ann”, lovingly known as “The Commander”, 72, of Stephens City, Virginia, died Thursday, July 23, 2015, at Winchester Medical Center.

Mrs. Everett was born in 1942, in Tacoma Park, Maryland, the daughter of the late Wiley C. and Millie V. Grant, Jr. She was a graduate of Wakefield High School in Arlington, Virginia.  Mrs. Everett was an Administrative Assistant with the Department of Defense retiring after 32 years of service.  She attended Macedonia United Methodist Church in Stephens City.  Ann volunteered her time to Blue Ridge Hospice and Faith in Action in Winchester and was always willing to help others.  She enjoyed dining out at various different restaurants in the Winchester area and loved traveling throughout the United States.

She married Gary Lee Everett on December 4, 1976, in Arlington, Virginia.

Surviving with her husband are four daughters, Lisa A. Reynolds (Kenneth), Staci L. Bakarich (Derek), Bridget D. Fitzpatrick (Jim), Katrina D. Spalding (Matt); grandchildren, Ashby Lincoln V, Kenny Reynolds II, Zachary Reynolds, Kai Bakarich, Parker Bakarich and Harper Spalding; her sister, Doris Sheridan and brothers, Wiley C. Grant III (Caryl), Larry Grant (Becky) and Steve Grant (Chantale).  She is also survived by many other relatives and all of the loving friends she made throughout the years.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
