Edward J. Ball, a Retired FBI Special Agent, passed away
September 20th at The Sentara Northern Virginia Medical Center. He was
Edward Joseph Ball was a native of Northern Virginia and a Virginia State
Track Record Holder in the Half Mile for more than 35 years. He was a member of Ford's
Colony and Montclair Country Clubs.
He began his career at Melpar working his way through college. He was a 1968 graduate
from American University in Washington, D. C. He worked as a bio-chemist at Aldridge
Associates until he began his FBI career (1971-1999).
His life was Barb, Family, FBI and golf ... especially golf. He was awarded many
commendations and awards in all aspects of his life.
Survivors include wife of 51 years, Barbara of Dumfries VA, Siblings: John Jr. (Pat) of
Jensen Beach FL, Jim (Carolyn) of Front Royal VA, Michael (Francie) of Manteo NC, Sue
Taylor of Chesapeake VA, Matt of Front Royal VA and Chris (Mary) of Falls Church VA,
Elizabeth of Atlanta, GA. Ed was loved and appreciated by many cousins, nieces and
nephews. Preceded in death by his parents and brother, Stephen.
Saturday, September 26th, Visitation will be at 11:00 AM, Service at 12:00
